Manchester United suffered their first defeat of the season last weekend - but could they lose more ground on Premier League leaders Manchester City when they face in-form Tottenham on Reactstrap tabs. BBC Sport football expert Mark Lawrenson says: "United flunked at Huddersfield and, as bad as Liverpool were at Wembley, Tottenham played very well to beat them 4-1.

They rolled over in the first half against the Terriers but there is no way Jose Mourinho is going to let Spurs beat his side at Old Trafford. Lawro scored 70 points in week nine, which saw him slip to 3,152nd place out of more than 240,000 users.

Lawro, who beat Joe Root last week, takes on two of his England cricket team-mates for this weekend's fixtures - all-rounder Moeen Ali and bowler James Anderson.

Burnley fan Anderson predicts a 1-0 win for his side at home to Newcastle on Monday and is hopeful the club can keep hold of manager Sean Dyche, who has been linked with the Everton job. Remember you can try to beat Lawro by playing the BBC Sport Predictor game. Last week, Lawro got four correct results, including one perfect scores, from 10 matches, for a total of 70 points.

He beat England cricket captain Joe Root, who got five results correct but with no perfect scores, for a total of 50 points. In our Declaration of Independence, the founders claim the right to form our own government because it became "necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands" that tie them to another.

Eagar Fire Chief Howard Carlson is interviewed by reporter Trisha Hendricks of Channel 12 News in Phoenix at the Arizona Wildfire Forum April 18. EAGAR State Forester Scott Hunt co-hosted the Arizona Wildfire Forum on April 18 in Eagar along with the Arizona State Forestry Division, the Arizona Insurance Council and the Arizona Forest Health Council. This is because, if one rolls the die many times, and keeps a tally of the results, one expects 1 six event for every 5 times the die does not show six.

For example, if we roll the fair die 600 times, we would very much expect something in the neighborhood of 100 sixes, and 500 of the other five possible outcomes. That is a ratio of 100 to 500, or simply 1 to 5. To express the (statistical) odds against, the order of the pair is reversed.

Hence the odds against rolling a six with a fair die are 5 to 1. The gambling and statistical uses of odds are closely interlinked. If a bet is a fair one, then the odds offered to the gamblers will perfectly reflect relative probabilities.

The profit and the expense exactly offset one another and so there is no advantage to gambling over the long run. If the odds being offered to the gamblers do not correspond to probability in this way then one of the parties to the bet has an advantage over the other. Casinos, for example, offer odds that place themselves at an advantage, which is how they guarantee themselves a profit and survive as businesses. The fairness of a particular gamble is more clear in a game involving relatively pure chance, such as the ping-pong ball method used in state lotteries in the United States.

It is much harder to judge the fairness of the odds offered in a wager on a sporting event such as a football match. The language of odds such as "ten to one" for intuitively estimated risks is found in the sixteenth century, well before the development of mathematical probability.

Odds are expressed in the form X to Y, where X and Y are numbers. Usually, the word "to" is replaced by a symbol for ease of use. This is conventionally either a slash or hyphen, although a colon is sometimes seen. When the probability that the event will not happen is greater than the probability that it will, then the odds are "against" that event happening. Odds of 6 to 1, for example, are therefore sometimes said to be "6 to 1 against".

To a gambler, "odds against" means that the amount he or she will win is greater than the amount staked. It means that the event is more likely to happen than not. This is sometimes expressed with the smaller number first (1 to 2) but more often using the word "on" ("2 to 1 on") meaning that the event is twice as likely to happen as not. Note that the gambler who bets at "odds on" and wins will still be in profit, as his stake will be returned. In common parlance, this is a "50-50 chance".

Guessing heads or tails on a coin toss is the classic example of an event that has even odds. In gambling, it is commonly referred to as "even money" or simply "evens" (1 to 1, or 2 for 1). The term "better than evens" (or "worse than evens") varies in meaning depending on context. Looked at from the perspective of a gambler rather than a statistician, "better than evens" means "odds against". So, it is "better than evens" from the gambler's perspective because it pays out more than one-for-one.

If an event is more likely to occur than an even chance, then the odds will be "worse than evens", and the bookmaker will pay out less than one-for-one. In statistics, odds are an expression of relative probabilities, generally quoted as the odds in favor.

The odds (in favor) of an event or a proposition is the ratio of the probability that the event will happen to the probability that the event will not happen. Mathematically, this is a Bernoulli trial, as it has exactly two outcomes. For example, the odds that a randomly chosen day of the week is a weekend are two to five (2:5), as days of the week form a sample space of seven outcomes, and the event occurs for two of the outcomes (Saturday and Sunday), and not for the other five.Bold Shot (7) odds Analysis ROOI ROE can't knock the form winning two in a row at Rockhampton and Doomben, big chance.

And I was amazed at your eye for design and ability to understand the goals for our site. We are so happy and confident with your skills that it's now a pleasure rather than a stress point in thinking about the site building process.

I would, as a business owner, recommend your company to anyone who is in need of a first class website, and we look forward to a long and profitable relationship with you and your company. My company just wanted to say that we were very impressed with the quality of the website, the price we paid compared to other web design company was extremely low. If a problem arose, the only answer I heard from the professionals at Web Design Express was "we can fix it" and then they did.

I am very fortunate to have found such great people to design my website. Web Design Express exceeded my expectation which was not an easy task. If you need a website designed, I highly recommend the people at Web Design Express. Your business depends on it. This is my second time hiring Web Designer Express. I recommend Web Designer Express to all my customers, friends and clients.Social proof is a psychological phenomenon. To get positive social validation for your company, it takes a little bit more finesse on your end.

You have to rely on your existing customers to review your company and create a positive influence for prospective customers. The best way to generate social proof is by getting your customers to review your products. First, make sure you focus on the customer experience. Let them review your company on Facebook. Ultimately, this can increase your conversions. Having lots of options for your customers to rate your business on multiple platforms is a great way to increase the number of reviews and to generate some social proof.

Etsy asked their customers to leave a review with a follow-up email or text message. All they needed to do was just ask.

To keep everything relevant, Etsy allows customers to review products within 100 days of their purchase. Giving your customers a timeline to make a verified review is a great way to prove the legitimacy of their purchase and opinion. Amazon highlights all of their verified purchases. In fact, bad experiences are two to three times more likely to get reviewed. They can simply click the link on your website, and it will bring them directly to the review form on another platform, like TripAdvisor.

Include a link on emails asking for feedback. You just need to make sure the subject line of your email generates a high open rate. There is a direct correlation between click rates and open rates. If the link brings them to a review page, that increases the chances of the customer leaving a review. We strive to be the best (type of business) in (name of your city).

Respond to positive reviews. In the example above, the reply addressed the reviewer directly, instead of just a generic response. The positive recognition may even entice this customer to leave reviews on other platforms as well.
